Onboarding Checklist Template

Welcome to Cloud Scouts! To ensure a smooth onboarding process, please follow the checklist below:

1. Account Creation:
   • Create your Cloud Scouts account on our platform (if applicable).
   • Set up your profile with a photo, display name, and a brief bio.
2. Introduction to the Community:
   • Join our Discord server or other communication channels.
   • Introduce yourself in the designated introduction channel.
   • Connect with fellow Scouts and engage in conversations.
3. Understanding Cloud Scouts:
   • Read through our mission statement, values, and community guidelines.
   • Familiarize yourself with our organizational structure, including Circles, Patrols, and roles.
4. Merit Badges and Skill Tree:
   • Learn about the merit badge system and skill tree.
   • Identify badges and skills you are interested in pursuing.
5. Participation in Circles and Patrols:
   • Explore the various Circles and Patrols within Cloud Scouts.
   • Join one or more Circles or Patrols based on your interests and skills.
6. Events and Workshops:
   • Stay informed about upcoming events and workshops.
   • Attend events and workshops relevant to your interests and development.
7. Project Involvement:
   • Look for projects or initiatives you can contribute to.
   • Collaborate with fellow Scouts on projects and share your expertise.
8. Communication and Collaboration Tools:
   • Familiarize yourself with the tools and platforms used by Cloud Scouts (e.g., Discord, Zoom, Spatial, Decentraland, etc.)
   • Set up and configure any necessary accounts or software.
9. Feedback and Support:
   • Reach out to your Circle or Patrol leaders if you need assistance or have questions.
   • Provide feedback on your onboarding experience to help improve the process for future Scouts.
